News!!!

We are very excited to find out that we will be getting new and updated pictures of Jacob in about a week! There is another Reece's Rainbow family that is adopting from the exact same orphanage where Jacob is! We are absolutely giddy with excitement to be getting an update on Jacob's status.

Yesterday, I talked with the father of the family that is adopting. He said that he saw Jacob the other day when they were visiting. Jacob was on his way to the doctor for a little chest cold. (It appears that quite a few kids in the orphanage have it) He said that Jacob is about the size of a 9-10 month old (he is 18 months old), so a little smaller than average, but that he is starting to look more like a little boy than a baby. He said that his face has thinned out and he is sitting up with help (I am not sure if he was able to see if he could sit unassisted). So we got an update on our little guy! We are over the moon. This is the BEST news we could have gotten this weekend.

Our facilitator also told us that if we are able to submit our dossier in March, that we could possibly have a court date appointment in April. OMGoodness!!! In just a short 2 1/2 months we could potentially be seeing our little guy. Logistically we would rather travel in late May/Early June, but we will have to see how things line up with the money situation. So PLEASE, if you are wanting to help us bring Jacob home, I urge you to get your donations in sooner than later. Never know when we might travel.
