So Grateful!!!

I have been working on this post for a few days now. Trying to put into words just how wonderful it is that we have all these people in our corner and helping us through this adoption. It amazes me almost every day when I get emails from people who I don't even know who are praying for us. Who want us to bring Jacob home and can't wait to follow the rest of our journey to do just that!!! Recently, my friend, Ellen graciously offered to have a Tastefully Simple Home Show to benefit our adoption! My life long friend, Karissa is a consultant and offered to contribute 25% of the proceeds to our adoption fund.

The party was held in my home town. Now, keep in mind that I haven't lived there for over 20 years, and though my parents still live there, I don't know a lot of people there. Ellen's husband is a pastor at a church there and she invited people from her church as well as people from her MOPS group. It was absolutely wonderful. We had food samples for people to try, and a computer there for people to place orders on. Rather than hearing about Tastefully Simple, I talked about our adoption and how we came to the decision to adopt, where were now and were were going. I felt as though I was talking in circles most of the time, but got through and there were several good questions and some good discussion. As you can probably guess, I talked to ALOT of people after it was over.

When everyone had left, I asked Ellen how the orders went. To my surprise, there weren't any. Everyone took the prayer cards I put out and information about our adoption, but no one ordered a thing that night. While I was a bit surprised, it was fine. We had a good time. Then Ellen brought me a box that had been sitting out. She said it was for Jacob's Adoption. People had given directly to our adoption fund. It was breathtaking and overwhelming the support that we received from these wonderful people. I can't even put into words how much we appreciate the support we have gotten from EVERYONE... Friends, Family, and people we don't even know! We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful support system in people. People are praying for us that we don't even know and we feel so wrapped in the Arms of God through this whole process. God is good and provides in those times of need and I have seen that through this process more so than any other time in my life and all I can say is Praise GOD!!!!
