Paper chase

The paper part of this adoption is probably the most daunting of tasks.  The term “blind on paperwork” didn’t mean much to me before starting this process.  Forms, forms and more forms to complete.  Make sure everything is just so….  the notary stamp in just the right spot… not upside down….. dr’s signature in black – wait no blue ink….STOP…. another form that has changed wording… make sure you have the right one…..terms that I never thought I would need to know, I know well now and even know how to spell!  I can honestly say that I think we have chosen one of the most difficult countries in Eastern Europe to adopt from.  Let’s see… Medical Forms have been re-done three times…..Employment Verifications have been re-done twice and may have to be re-done again….Letter of Obligation has been re-done 3 or 4 times, I can’t quite remember now.  Some days I am not sure if I am coming or going!!!

Let’s just say… I will be ecstatic when this dossier is in the Fed Ex Package and OUT OF MY HANDS!!!  Please pray that it is VERY SOON!!!!

That's my take, too. I'm not worried about the employment letter. It's already in Ukraine and if Y says we have to redo it, we will, but I'm not even thinking about it until then. :) Out of sight, out of mind!!

Praying for you today B! It's all so frustrating but I just wanted to say that I think you are doing a great job! You stay on top of everything, you're a working so hard to get Jacob home, and God is gonna honor that! You're so close, hang in there!! xo

I have to say, the paperwork in adoption is very similar to the pain of childbirth...once the child is in your arms, the pains are forgotten!
