Today is our 100th post! We started this blog shortly after we committed to adopting Jacob! I wondered when I started if I would be able to keep up and continue to post, but here we are 6 months later and 100 posts. Not too shabby! We have had people visit here from all over the globe! I am curious how you all got here to our blog! I assure you that even after our adoption, we will have plenty to keep you all coming back and reading. 4 children - ages 4 and under! Goodness, just typing that out makes me cringe a bit! It will be busy that is for sure, but we wouldn't have it any other way! I know that 10 years ago, if someone would have told me that we would be where we are today, I probably would have laughed at them. Even on my kids worst day, I love them even more! It is the bad days that make me appreciate the good ones that much more. Every single tantrum, every single tear, every single time-out is so worth it. My kids are the best!! I have a wonderful husband to share in their growing up. We have great family and friends to lean on when we need to! I can't imagine my life any better than it is right now!
I have been thinking lately how thankful I am for the things in my life! God has been so good to me! I would like you all to comment on what you are thankful for! I know we sometimes take for granted things that we shouldn't! What are you thankful for????

i would be blessed to donate to your adoption. i choose one or two a month and do a donation, but i have a problem with you going private after i have asked my family not to go out to eat or my daughter to give up a pair of shoes or my husband a golf outing and then you go private. just wondering why????
I am never sure how to reply to questions as we don't get that many! However, Anonymous -- the reason we are going private while we travel is that we want to be able to share much information about our experience as possible without having anyone and everyone reading about it. As you know when we are public, anyone can read our blog. I don't want to have some issue while we are there, I vent about it and have it jeopradize our adoption process if an official there has read our blog! Does that make sense? Feel free to email me at gittevan@live.com and request to be added to our list for invitations. I would gladly include you in our email invites when they go out! Thank you!!! Hope that answers your question!
I am thankful for my relationship with God! For without Him, I would be nothing! I am thankful that people express their relationship with God! It is awesome! And I am thankful that He is with us as we adopt our second child!
Happy 100th post!!!

I am thankful for Jesus...and also thankful to see the teenage son of friends of mine (also named Paul...who just so happens to be blessed with an extra chromosome) get baptized this morning...He was so excited! His love for the Lord is contagious and inspires me to grow closer to Him too!
