Am I alone in my thinking??

So this week my kids have been in rare form.  I wasn’t really sure why, but I chalked it up to PMS on my part and that everything they do seems to annoy me to some extent!  Then I realized, that it was a full moon on July 7th.  Does this bring out the “Mr. Hyde” in your kids.  I can’t even believe how they change with the phases of the moon.

It got me to thinking about when Josie and Katie are teenagers and have the “womanly” things to worry about on top of the lunar calender.  We we have any peace at all during the month?  I don’t think so.

Does anyone else notice that the full moon makes the kids extra owly?  I think on the 7th or the 8th at least one of my children was in time out the entire day.  That rarely happens, however I am now going to be marking my calendar with the full moon dates so at least I can mix my drinks extra strong on those days!  LOL  Anyone want to share a bottle of wine?

Hmmmm, interesting . . .
I will have to pay more attention in the next few months, but yes! Aleena has been SUCH a handful lately! Not only during the day, but at night with many wake-ups! Ugh, it's been tiring!

Just found your blog through Bethany's. You have a beautiful family!

Anyway, I definitely think the full moon affects my kids behavior. For sure.

As my mother says, you'll know when the girls are PMSing because you'll be trying not to yell at them, and they'll be trying not to cry. lol. Being female is such a blast!

and I work at a special needs summer camp, kids from different groups totally all act out on the same day. There's gotta be something in the air!

At this point I will accept any excuse I can for their behavior lately! :)

I have never thought about it, but if I can blame it on a full mooon and not my parenting...:)

I worry about the same thing with Jai, especially since she already has soo much attitude already.

Not sure about moon phases... never heard that one before. But Jake and I have been saying for the last couple of years our four year old DOES have PMS once a month. :) And I always wonder... 'what will it be like when it really IS PMS?!'

And now I wonder, 'what will it be like when there are FIVE of us having PMS'? AAAAHHHHH!!!! Pray for Jake and Micah. :)

I used to teach 2 year old preschool and whenever the kids would get REALLY nuts the other more seasoned teachers always blamed it on the full moon :) So, maybe there's something to it! And they did get particularly squirelly at certain times.
