Not on me, but on our dining room!
When we moved in here, we were so anxious to get out of our other house, we didn’t have a chance to paint or really do anything before we moved in. I liked the colors for the most part so we just went with it. We have talked about painting all the rooms but with 4 kids, we just don’t have the time or the energy to do it ourselves!
Before Christmas I was talking to a friend of mine. Her daughter and son-in-law live in Alaska and were coming right after the first of the year with their 7 month old daughter. She asked if we had a car seat and a pack and play that they might be able to borrow for a couple of weeks while they were here! Are you kidding me?? I have multiples of each of those?? Anything else you want, I can find in our garage for sure! LOL
She called me on Saturday and wanted to come over to return the things she had borrowed. She said that she was trying to decide how to repay me for the use of these two things. Ummm no payment needed as they were just sitting in my garage!
Here was her idea--- when she was here picking up the items, we talked about our dining room and that the people who lived here before us didn’t have little kids because they painted in flat paint. I can’t get that clean without taking off the paint! So in order to repay me, she and her friend (who paints and decorates for a living) wanted to come over and paint our entire dining room and hallway with a satin or semi-gloss paint.
My chin about dropped to the floor. No one has ever done this for us before. Unbelievable! I was a bit resistant at first, however after a bit of talking, I decided that I was probably not going to get this done any time soon and I could really use this change right now! They are starting the painting tomorrow!
I can’t ask for better friends!!! Thank you Karen and Sandy!!!!!
I will post before and after pictures when it is all done!!!

So exciting!! Painting is always a fun way to face lift a room :)
Wow! Very cool! Can't wait to see the pics.
I do love when people have a chance, myself included, to share what they can do in exchange for things they need... the old barter system has alot of positives!
Fun stuff!
So fun! I can't wait to see the pics.
